When a home-service business needs a CRM
Decide whether a lead log is sufficient or a shared CRM would solve a specific home-service handoff problem.

A CRM is useful only when it gives the team a better way to see and act on customer work. First check whether one shared lead log, a clear owner, and a regular review would solve the gap.
Signs to evaluate a tool
- Several people need the current status of the same inquiry.
- Follow-up ownership regularly changes hands.
- Open estimates have no visible next action.
- The team cannot tell which inquiries became booked jobs.
Compare tools against a real lead-to-job scenario, the time needed to keep records current, export options, and the team’s ability to adopt a new process. Do not buy software solely because the lead volume feels busy.
